ReactFast celebrates its 5th Anniversary
ReactFast,
purchased by Kevin Lewis, Mick Fitzgerald and Richard Pougher from
GE in 2001, have grown to become one of the UK’s largest one-stop
emergency maintenance providers. They offer their customers a 24hour/365
day service and have attended over 135,000 same day domestic repairs
in the last year.
2005 has been an outstanding
year for ReactFast. Not only have we increased staff numbers by
20% during the past year, and created 40 new positions within the
company, we have exceeded all budgeted targets.
Our achievements for 2005 include
being announced as a runner up in the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce
‘Business of the Year Awards’ and we recently joined
the highly prized ranks of the Sunday Times “Virgin Atlantic”
Fast Track 100 list for 2005. Compiled by Fast Track (an independent
research company that tracks more than one million of Britain's
top-performing private companies and entrepreneurs) the Fast Track
100 list is a roll call of the UK’s fastest growing privately
owned companies by turnover formally measured across a three year
period. This years list included household names such as Gordon
Ramsey and Jimmy Choo.
Early
on in the year saw the introduction of ReactFast plumbing franchises.
We now have a total of 35 fully trained franchisees on the road
(we budgeted to sell 20 in year one), turning over an average of
£2,000 each week and with several already employing additional
engineers and buying second territories. At present, we have a further
6 franchisees in training at our purpose built training centre at
ReactFast’s head office in Birmingham city centre.
We will be opening a brand
new training establishment in Birmingham later this year. In its
first year we will provide a minimum of 150 course in the plumbing,
gas, security and electrical trades.
In the first year of trading
ReactFast revenues were £3.2m. In 2006, our sixth year, we
expect group turnover to reach £18m. Our plans for the forthcoming
year are bigger than ever. As always we will be expanding our national
directory advertising campaigns, rising to a £2.5m annual
spend. But we’re also keen to develop substantial business-to-business
relationships. We are already managing 100 jobs a week for B&Q
and negotiations have begun with a number of insurance companies
and other prospects.
